People come from around the world to learn to ski and snowboard at Ski Santa Fe. The fantastic instructors, well-groomed runs, and the beautiful blue New Mexican skies all contribute to a remarkably friendly atmosphere for enjoying a new sport.

It’s the perfect place to experience the freedom and fun of skiing and snowboarding across the mountain, making new friends as you glide through the soft snow on the slopes.

According to Ski Santa Fe Snowsports School Director Armaan Singh, that’s not by accident. The main goal of the school and its talented teachers, he said, is to make it easy for anyone to discover winter’s greatest pastimes for themselves.

Built for Success

“Ski Santa Fe’s Snowsports School is a huge asset to the area because it creates access,” Armaan said. “We introduce people of all ages and backgrounds to skiing and snowboarding in a way that feels welcoming, safe, and fun.”

“For many guests, especially first-timers or school groups, this is their first experience in the mountains,” he said. “That kind of introduction can shape a lifelong connection to the outdoors and snow sports and have a lasting impact on both individuals and the community.”

As anyone who has ever taken a lesson at Ski Santa Fe quickly realizes, that sense of community grows naturally through the joy of learning how to turn on the area’s gentle terrain, and sharing the fun with their family, friends, or fellow students as they begin to master the sport.

It’s a Team Sport

Something that always seems to surprise people who try skiing or snowboarding for the first time, is just how social a sport it is. Behind those goggles, under those helmets, and warm inside those parkas, are a bunch of friendly people who want to get outdoors in the winter and move, laugh, and talk. Especially for snowsports instructors, who want everyone else to feel that same connection to winter sports.

“I take a lot of pride in the work we do because of the people. The team we build is made up of individuals who care, not just about skiing and riding, but about teaching, connecting, and creating meaningful experiences,” Armaan said. “We look for people who are supportive, patient, and genuinely want to help others succeed.”

“I am very proud of the team we have here and the level of instruction we provide,” he said. “It's an exceptional group of people.”
