Protecting Our Mountain for Future Generations

At Ski Santa Fe, we recognize that our mountain playground is a precious natural resource. We are committed to operating in an environmentally responsible manner, implementing sustainable practices that protect the Santa Fe National Forest ecosystem while providing exceptional winter recreation.

Forest Stewardship

As a permitted operator within the Santa Fe National Forest, we work closely with the U.S. Forest Service to ensure our activities support forest health and wildlife habitat. Our stewardship includes:

• Trail maintenance and erosion control

• Wildlife habitat protection

• Forest thinning for fire prevention

• Watershed protection

• Native vegetation restoration

Water Conservation

Water is a precious resource in New Mexico, and we take our responsibility to conserve it seriously. Our water management practices include efficient snowmaking systems, low-flow fixtures in all facilities, and careful monitoring of water use throughout our operations.

Community Engagement

Sustainability extends beyond our mountain operations to our role in the greater Santa Fe community. We partner with local organizations on environmental education, support youth outdoor programs, and encourage our guests to practice Leave No Trace principles.

We continuously evaluate our operations, seek new technologies and practices that reduce our impact, and strive to be a leader in sustainable mountain resort operations.
